Chaplain II – Wolfson Children’s Hospital

Baptist Health is currently looking for a Chaplain for our Spiritual Care department at Wolfson Children’s Hospital. This is a Full-Time Days opportunity and will support Wolfson’s Pediatric ICU (PICU) and assist with Pediatric Behavioral Health Purpose and Meaning Support Groups.

The Chaplain will provide pastoral care and counseling, offer religious resources, and support groups for team members, patients, patient’s families, hospital staff and physicians by developing efficient follow-up support plans.

The chaplain will respond to referrals from nurses, physicians, and local clergy while assisting and collaborating with pastoral care staff, residents, students, and volunteers.

As a Chaplain II, your responsibilities will include:

    • Provide evidence based, expert spiritual care to patients and their loved ones including spiritual assessment, interventions and monitoring of outcomes as a fully integrated member of the interdisciplinary care team.
    • Provide spiritual and emotional support to Baptist Health team members through daily rounding, group and individual support and Spiritual Care Departmental programs
    • Under the direction of the Spiritual Care Administration, collaborate with hospital staff including, lead chaplains, community clergy, and hospital team members.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree required
  • 1-2 years Ministry Experience
  • 4 CPE units required
  • Ordained or Licensed Minister
  • Board Certified or Eligible for Board Certification through APC/BCCI, NACC, or NAJC
