Chaplain researcher appointed VP Mission and Spiritual Care
Rev. Marilyn JD Barnes, MA, MS, MPH, BCC, a chaplain researcher and Transforming Chaplaincy Fellow, has been named Vice President of Mission and Spiritual Care for Advocate Aurora Health. In her new role she will serve the East Corridor and Central Chicagoland Patient Service Areas.

Rev. Barnes has published multiple research articles on several key themes in spiritual care, including advance care planning, simulation learning, a chaplaincy taxonomy, and diversity in spiritual care education.
