Chaplains sought for study on COVID-19 impact
Colleagues at Penn Medicine and Ascension Health are currently seeking chaplain participants for a study of the impact of COVID-19 on chaplains:
Changes in Religion/Faith/Spirituality in Healthcare Chaplains during/post COVID-19
Dear Healthcare Chaplain Colleagues,
Did you work as a healthcare chaplain during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic? Did this experience impact your personal faith/spirituality or how you do your work? If so, please consider contributing to the first of its kind survey designed to explore the effects COVID-19 had and has on our work and spirituality.
This research project aims at gaining insight into how healthcare chaplain’s religion/faith/spirituality has been affected during and post the COVID-19 pandemic and to what extent. Secondary this research tries to elicit how religion/faith/spirituality changes influence healthcare chaplains’ work currently.
Please note: This survey is NOT designed to judge faith/spirituality changes but to elaborate on them and show how faith/spirituality are concepts that are individual often in flux and can highly be influenced by challenging times. The on-line survey should take about 15-20 minutes to complete; your responses are completely confidential. No directly identifying information will be collected.
All information will only be analyzed and used in deidentified ways. If you are interested in participating, please click on the survey link provided here by August 31, 2024.
