Joi L. Johnson is a hospital chaplain at Emory Johns Creek Hospital in metropolitan Atlanta, GA. She is also currently a Doctor of Ministry student at Beulah Heights University. Her passion is to integrate her faith with her background in healthcare. Joi previously served as a training program coordinator at the University of Alabama at Birmingham Minority Health and Health Disparities Research Center and a clinical research coordinator at Morehouse School of Medicine prior to entering a career as a chaplain. She has served as a volunteer with various organizations and is passionate about helping those in marginalized communities. As a chaplain she values compassionate care and strives to meet people where they are in their faith journey.
