Mental Health Chaplain for NHS Trust in England.
Working on Inpatient Units and in Community Team to meet the spiritual and religious needs of patients, carers and staff. Commissioned by the Roman Catholic church to serve as a Chaplain, Minister of the Word and Minister of the Eucharist. Working with people of all faiths and none. Supporting those whose faith is a protective factor to people who are spiritually unaware and those who are spiritually unwell (working to reduce death by suicide and with the Prevent Agenda). Won award in 2018 for Innovation in Worship creating a style of worship for those living with dementia (Biblical Yoga). Spent 11 years working as Specialist Dementia Chaplain, three years in Acute Hospital Chaplaincy and started Chaplaincy vocation in Her Majesty’s Prison Service. Proud to be Chaplain to a new Mental Health Community Centre (Hope Haven) opening in 2025 to radically change how mental health services are delivered.
