
Jo Hirschmann

Rabbi Jo Hirschmann is a board-certified chaplain, an ACPE Certified Educator, and a rabbi ordained by Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion. She currently serves as the director of spiritual care and education for Mount Sinai Beth Israel and New York Eye and Ear Infirmary in New York City, where she teaches CPE students and engages in other leadership development and mentoring work. Her research interests and publications encompass spiritual care and education in a variety of clinical contexts, including gender-affirming care, and she is a co-author with Nancy Wiener of Maps and Meaning: Levitical Models for Pastoral Care. She lives with her family in the Bronx, NY.
