June 2022 Retreat Information
Why is the Chaplaincy Innovation Lab providing retreats to chaplains?
With support from the Henry Luce Foundation, the Lab continues to support healing and resilience among chaplains who have served during the COVID-19 pandemic. As such, these June 2022 retreats are an opportunity for rest, reflection, and rejuvenation. They are a blend of structured reflection and unstructured free time in locations chosen to foster mindfulness and relaxation.
I wasn't selected to attend one of the retreats. Why wasn't I selected?
We received more than 340 applications for only 30 spots. We are actively seeking funds for additional retreats. We are eager to partner with local organizations and regionally-focused foundations. Those who applied and were not invited to a retreat in June will receive preferential consideration for future retreats. (Please note that this does not guarantee a spot in future events.)
Information for retreat attendees
What costs are covered by the Chaplaincy Innovation Lab?
With the support from the Henry Luce Foundation, the Chaplaincy Innovation Lab is able to cover all costs specific to the retreats (e.g., retreat fees, room, board, etc.). Participants must cover their travel to and from their retreat center. A supplement of $250 will be provided to each participant to offset the costs of travel.
How much will I spend on traveling to and from the retreat center?
Driving distances to each retreat location from common waypoints are given below. Your total cost would be determined by whatever mode of transportation you choose – driving a personal vehicle, rideshare (e.g., Lyft), taxi, rental car, and so on. Retreatants are also responsible for airfare if they are flying to a local waypoint.
Contact information for each of the June 2022 retreats, including personnel at each retreat site, retreat facilitators, and Lab event staff will be provided directly to each retreatant.
