Interfaith Cooperation in Higher Education: Reframing today’s campus
Tuesday, June 10 – Friday, June 13
In a time of increasing polarization, fear and distrust abound. How can we harness radical imagination to cultivate stronger interfaith communities on our campuses to remedy an “ailing world”? Join NYU’s Center for Global Spiritual Life and Interfaith America for the return of the 2025 Of Many Summer Institute, a four-day conference featuring workshops and panel presentations on conflict transformation, cultural empathy, pluralism, and contemplative practices with renowned scholars and thought leaders. Participants will learn how they can activate religious, spiritual, and secular communities to strengthen civic pluralism and explore the role they and their institutions play in building faith-friendly campuses.
During the seminar, you will gain:
- Practical tools for cultivating dialogue across differences, curiosity, contemplative practices, community building, self-regulation, and healthy approaches to conflict.
- Convening skills & strategies to hold space for complex inter-religious and intra-religious conversations that center on common values and a shared struggle.
- Methodologies for interfaith cooperation, storytelling, and network mapping
- Techniques for fostering leadership across and between communities post-crisis impacting more than one community on campus
After the Institute, participants will receive a certificate of completion in Spirituality, Leadership, and Social Innovation and will have the opportunity to apply for micro-grants ($300-$1000) to help seed action plans created at their home organization More details about these grants will be available at the Institute.
Register today! Early-bird registration rates are available through April 30.
