Harps of Comfort

Join Harps of Comfort for the next installment of the Chaplaincy Innovation Lab series “Music for the Soul.”
Harps of Comfort provides remote harp and vocal music for isolated patients with COVID-19, their loved ones and front-line caregivers. The group’s highly trained palliative musicians offer individually tailored, live music sessions along with compassionate, loving presence.
The harp music and singing is quiet and contemplative, offering a spacious opportunity for rest, relaxation, and comfort.
As harpists with years of experience in medical settings, the group knows first-hand how powerful music can be as a tool for symptom management, comfort, and even meaning-making in the face of suffering. The group’s harpists include music-thanatologists, therapeutic musicians, certified music practitioners, and certified therapeutic harp practitioners.
Harps of Comfort is funded by donations and offer music sessions at no cost to patients or their loved ones. For this evening, the group will provide a special performance for the Chaplaincy Innovation Lab community.
The performance will include music and conversation, including an opportunity for Q&A with the audience.
