Spiritual Care for Anxiety and Depression

Join mental health chaplain (APC) and Certified Educator (ACPE) Angelika A. Zollfrank (McLean Hospital) for a webinar on spiritual care with those experiencing anxiety and depression. (separate from other diagnoses or circumstances that have brought them to a chaplain).
Using two cases from her own clinical work as well as drawing on the research literature, Zollfrank will help participants achieve three learning outcomes during this event: 1. Know how to differentiate General Anxiety Disorder and Major Depressive Disorder (“clinical depression”) from day-to-day anxiousness and sadness; 2. Learn how to leverage the role of the chaplain in normalizing and generalizing anxiety and depression; and 3. Identify spiritual assessment strategies as well as spiritual coping strategies to aid those experiencing anxiety and depression. This webinar will be especially useful for healthcare chaplains, chaplains in higher education, corrections, the military, and other settings with a high incidence of anxiety and depression.
