[External] Spirituality of the 12 Steps
Living in the Sunlight of the Spirit: The Spirituality of the 12 Steps
Presented by The Pneuma Institute. This is an external event and not hosted by the Chaplaincy Innovation Lab.
This two-day program, helpful for anyone companioning recovering individuals or interested in deepening their own spirituality, explores addiction and each of the 12 Steps, combining Step content with relevant issues that surface in spiritual direction/leadership. Small-group processing and sharing of experience follows each program sub-section (Addiction, Steps 1–3, 4–5, 6–9, 10–12). Program concludes with a comparison of the Twelve Steps and St. Ignatius of Loyola’s Spiritual Exercises. Handouts and extensive bibliography provided. Lunch is provided for in person participants.
Our presenters: Eileen Chawalibog was a faculty member of the West Virginia Institute of Spirituality from 2003-2022. She is a Spiritual Director and has extensive experience with recovery and spirituality.
