I am a wife and mother of 5. I was a teen mom of two before I graduated on time from high school. The door of starting early put me right on track from hospice chaplain to entertainment chaplain. I walk in rooms and doors and I get the still look of “but where is the chaplain?” The “you’re under 35” stares never stop, nor the questions. However after the chaplaincy sessions I get to enjoy the pleasure of providing a service that patients had not intended to encounter. Being counted out before being heard is painful but the joy is so sweet.
