Brent Wright, MA, MDiv, BCC
Lead Chaplain – Community Hospital East
My journey to chaplaincy was winding. As I headed to college, I was planning to be a pilot or engineer. That shifted to teaching science to middle schoolers, which morphed into pastoral ministry. After about 15 years in church work, I shifted from the church to the hospital, where I am at home as both the science nerd and quiet people person I have always been. I feel the privilege every day of being welcomed into my human siblings’ life situations, sharing their journey for a few steps. And I fly a small plane as often as possible as my most beloved spiritual discipline.
