Being a hospice chaplain is a privilege I don’t take lightly. I have the honor of meeting people where they are and walking alongside them and their families through some very meaningful and difficult moments. Sometimes that means praying together, sometimes it means listening, and sometimes it simply means sitting quietly, not saying a word, and being present. I’ve learned that people don’t always need answers—they need someone who will truly listen and care. My hope is that every person I meet feels respected, heard, and reminded that their life and their story matter.
I don’t have the answers, but I do have prayers!
