Rev. Dr. Judith Silva, MDiv, DMin

Rev. Dr. Judith Silva was formerly a chaplain with the City of Philadelphia Youth Study Center. Her other ministerial appointments have included work in correctional chaplaincy at the NYC Department of Corrections and hospital chaplaincy at Yale New Haven Hospital, Cleveland Clinic Hospital, St Vincent Hospital and Medical Center and Mayo Clinic. She is trained as a therapist and her experience has included being a staff therapist for Foundation for Religion and Mental Health in Dover, NJ and at Blanton Peale Counseling Center in NYC.
She has a B.A. in Sociology, Spanish, and Community Health from Tufts University in Medford, Massachusetts. Her graduate degrees are from Yale Divinity School, where she obtained a Master of Divinity, and New York Theological Seminary, where she received a Doctorate in Ministry in Pastoral Care and Counseling. She holds postgraduate certificates in Pastoral Psychotherapy and Marriage and Family Therapy from Blanton Peale Institute in NYC. She is an ordained Minister since June 24, 1992 and has taught courses in Pastoral Care and Counseling at Unification Theological Seminary, NYC where she serves as Adjunct Faculty and as a Certified Field Education Supervisor at Palmer Seminary in Philadelphia, PA. Her other adjunct faculty assignments have included Lutheran Theological Seminary at Philadelphia.
