Kenny Solis, MA, DMin(c)
Chaplain Fellow – Stanford Health Care
I am a clinical chaplain with a Master’s in Theology (Islamic Studies) from Claremont School of Theology, currently completing a Doctor of Ministry in Chaplaincy Studies/Counseling. After completing a Clinical Pastoral Education Residency at Penn Medicine Princeton, I am now serving at Stanford Health Care, focusing on Blood Marrow Transplant and Cellular Therapy and Psychiatric unit, post-residency.
My chaplaincy practice is centered on somatic practice and mindfulness-based stress reduction, integrating these approaches with interfaith and Islamic teachings, particularly from Rumi’s Masnavi, to support patients and caregivers through challenging life transitions. With a rich background in philosophy, political science, and interreligious studies, I offer a compassionate, interdisciplinary perspective that meets the diverse spiritual needs of those I serve.
As an Imam and educator, I’ve had the honor of serving both the Muslim, interfaith, and Latino Muslim communities. My work is dedicated to fostering spaces for reflection, healing, and spiritual growth, including offering khutbahs and spiritual talks to bring an Islamic and Latino voice into healthcare.
