Palliative Care Chaplain – Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai

Rabbi Max Zev Reynolds is a rabbi, board certified chaplain, and spiritual director whose spiritual care work has included hospitals, community organizations, re-entry services, and movement organizers and activists. His areas of interest include: palliative and end-of-life care; the spiritual and existential care of secular and non-religious people; trauma and moral injury; the integration of disability and transformative justice practices in spiritual care; the spiritual care of queer, transgender, and gender non-confirming people; and the role of ritual in healing and justice work. Max was ordained at the Reconstructionist Rabbinical College and holds an MA in Philosophy of Religion from Union Theological Seminary.
