I provide material and spiritual assistance to the crews of vessels that call at the Port of Charleston.
90% of the world’s trade travels by ship, and these essential, yet largely invisible, men and women sacrifice so much to make this possible.
I visit their ships, welcome them to our seafarers’ center, provide transportation ashore for shopping and other needs, and offer spiritual support, prayer, and counseling.
The most important service I provide is a friendly face and open heart so that the seafarers know someone cares about them during their long and difficult periods of time away from home.
