
Joseph Krakoff
Rabbi Joseph H. Krakoff is the Senior Director of the Jewish Hospice and Chaplaincy Network where he is involved daily with pastoral caregiving and counseling individuals in end of life decision-making. Rabbi Krakoff teaches classes and seminars on a variety of spiritual topics with a particular focus on moral and ethical living, palliative and hospice care, grief and bereavement.
After growing up in Los Angeles, Rabbi Krakoff graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Bucknell University in Lewisburg, PA, a Masters’ Degree of Hebrew Letters from University of Judaism (American Jewish University) and a Masters of Hebrew Letters from the Jewish Theological Seminary where he was ordained in 1998. Rabbi Krakoff holds a certificate from the School of Management at Northwestern University in Management Education for Jewish Leaders.
Rabbi Krakoff is author of the books Never Long Enough: Finding Comfort and Hope Amidst Grief and Loss and Never Long Enough: Coloring/Workbook and has written a chapter on hospice care in the newly released book Now What? A Guide to the Gifts and Challenges of Aging. He is married to Susan and father to Atara, Micah and Elan.
