
Elizabeth Alders
Elizabeth (Libby) Alders is a government contractor and Research Associate at the Henry M. Jackson Foundation. She currently supports the Consortium of Health and Performance at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences through her research examining Spiritual Fitness/Spiritual Performance in the context of the United States Military’s Total Force Fitness framework.
Libby earned her Master of Science in Patient Counseling at Virginia Commonwealth University, where she also completed her clinical chaplain residency. She earned her Master of Divinity from Vanderbilt University Divinity School, where she focused on theologies of disabilities and political theology. Her research and professional interests focus on the areas of moral injury, pastoral counseling, spirituality in pluralistic environments, and theologies of disabilities.
When Libby is not at work, you can find her rock climbing, powerlifting, or enjoying the company of her two dogs and her active duty military spouse.
