
Michelle Friedman
Dr. Michelle Friedman received an MD from the NYU School of Medicine and has completed advanced training at the Columbia University Psychoanalytic Center for Training and Research. In addition to her private practice and her role at YCT Rabbinical School where she holds the Steven and Marilyn Lieberman Chair in Pastoral Counseling, Dr. Friedman is Associate Professor of Clinical Psychiatry at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York. For several decades she has focused on Jewish communal issues, the rabbinate and pastoral counseling. Together with Dr. Rachel Yehuda Michelle co-authored The Art of Jewish Pastoral Counseling: A Guide for All Faiths published by Routledge in 2016. She is currently working on a memoir entitled Divine Corners.
