About the Role

The Associate Chaplain provides professional and competent spiritual care ministry and is responsible for serving the spiritual, religious, and emotional needs of care recipients and caregivers in inpatient, outpatient, and community settings.

As a member of the healthcare team, the Associate Chaplain is directly responsible for implementing the mission, values, policies, and procedures of the Department of Spiritual Health Services and the facility in which they serve.

Required Qualifications

2 Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) units
Graduate studies of 32–48 credit hours in Theology, Divinity, Spirituality, Pastoral Ministry, or equivalent applicable education from an accredited institution
Bachelor’s Degree
National Chaplain Certification within 3 years of hire

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s Degree in Theology, Divinity, Spirituality, Pastoral Ministry, or relevant religious studies, or similar education accepted by chaplaincy board-certifying organizations
