Abstract of “Chaplaincy outside Religious Traditions”
This report explores existing pathways for religiously unaffiliated and secular individuals seeking to pursue chaplaincy as a profession. By drawing on publicly available resources as well as insights from interviews with leaders in the field, this research paints a clearer picture of the current processes in place for religiously unaffiliated individuals to become chaplains in their own right while underlining some gaps that may exist in their overall trajectory.
